Location: Detroit MI (Hybrid)Duration: 6 Months Job Summary:We are looking for a Mid-Level Android Developer with experience in Automotive Android platform development to design develop and maintain Android applications services and middleware for next-generation automotive systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Android Automotive vehicle communication protocols middleware development and automotive software engineering : 2 Responsibilities:Design develop and maintain Android applications services and middleware components for automotive and maintain custom vendor-specific middleware services and Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) features using Kotlin and Java following Android best with automotive communication protocols including CAN and Ethernet (SOME/IP).Develop and integrate AIDL interfaces for inter-process low-level software design implementation debugging and Vector CANoe CANalyzer and CAPL for simulation testing and on hardware benches to sideload applications debug issues capture logs and validate with cross-functional teams including system integration and validation in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning code reviews and continuous compliance with ASPICE and automotive software development best automation scripts using Python and work with UML and JSON for design and cloud-based development workflows using AWS tools where Skills:2 years of Android development programming skills in Kotlin and developing Android applications services and -on experience with of CAN and Ethernet (SOME/IP) communication developing custom middleware services and Android with Vector CANoe CANalyzer and working with automotive hardware benches for deployment debugging and log of Automotive ECU software with Agile of ASPICE standards and automotive software development with Python UML and Skills:Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based development of CI/CD pipelines and automated with Git and code review of embedded Linux and automotive middleware :Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Electronics Information Technology or a related engineering working in automotive software development projects is highly preferred.
