Amazon Leo Network Development Engineer, Leo Enterprise Network Infrastructure

Amazon Leo is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast reliable internet to customers and communities around the world and weve designed the system with the capacity flexibility and performance to serve a wide range of customers from individual households to schools hospitals businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

As a Network Development Engineer at Amazon Leo you will lead the implementation maintenance and optimization of mission-critical enterprise networks supporting our manufacturing facilities research labs launch sites and mission operations centers worldwide. You will ensure high availability performance and security of network infrastructure across multiple global locations.

Key job responsibilities
Deployment and ongoing maintenance of complex network solutions in manufacturing and lab environments
Ensure robust network operations supporting launch and mission activities
Troubleshoot and resolve complex routing interconnectivity and performance issues
Develop and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation
Lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives
Enhance and manage monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue detection
Mentor junior engineers on operational best practices and troubleshooting techniques
Drive automation initiatives to streamline repetitive tasks and improve efficiency
Participate in on-call rotation for critical infrastructure support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability for mission-critical operations

- 4 years of major internet routing protocols experience
- 4 years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience

- 1 years of automation scripting using Python Bash Shell and/or Perl experience

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
