As a member of a multi-functional team youll have the opportunity to solve challenging software engineering problems across a broad range of Apple manufacturing servicesn Provide Support for both Analytics and Operational Platforms n Develop applications to answer complex analytical and real-time operational questionsn Working with external teams to drive the development of infrastructure needs n Help design architect and build the data platform while using a variety of Big Data technologies n Innovate by exploring recommending benchmarking and implementing data centric platform technologiesn Recognize opportunities for automation and tools improvementsn Provide hardware architectural guidance estimate cluster capacity and create roadmapn Technical leadership with a focus on increasing software development maturity and skills across the teamn You will also be working closely with DevOps other teams in SDS and also with business partners across Applen Adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholdersn Ensures that different experiences styles backgrounds and perspectives are leveraged appropriately.n Mentoring coaching and up-skilling junior team members who are developing

BS or MS in Computer Science preferred; equivalent work experience consideredn5 years of work experience in Java Scala Python or equivalent programming languagen5 years of work experience designing building maintaining and improving large scale platforms services tools grasp of computer science basics including data structures and algorithmsnFlexibility with a creative approach to problem solvingnHands-on experience with design and development in the Big Data and NoSQL technologies (such as Hadoop HDFS S3 HBase Cassandra Hive or Elastic Search)nConfirmed understanding of design and development of large scale high throughput and low latency applications
