The hours for this position are approximately 10 hours per week.
The Aide ELL provides support to the instructional program within assigned classrooms with specific responsibility for assisting students in developing English language proficiency administering instructional assessments and reinforcing language-learning activities under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Adapt classroom activities assignments and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher to ensure students understand directions and expectations.
- Administer tests homework assignments and make-up work to support classroom instruction.
- Assist students individually or in small groups with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts and language development.
- Implement instructional programs and lesson plans under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Monitor student progress in oral and written English communication skills.
- Support English language learners in developing communication skills necessary for academic success.
- Maintain classroom records and documentation related to instructional support activities.
- Participate in meetings and professional development activities related to ELL services.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Works under direct supervision using standardized instructional procedures while supporting language development and classroom instruction.
Work is performed primarily in classroom environments with regular interaction with students and instructional staff.
Job-related experience is required; experience working with English language learners is preferred.
High school diploma plus job-related coursework.
