Job Summary

Role: AI Engineer
Location: Washington DC (20433)
Duration: 6 Months Long Term
Hybrid Onsite: 4 days per week from Day 1 with a full transition to 100% onsite anticipated soon

Job Description:
Seeking an AI Engineer with strong expertise in Python APIs MCP (Model Context Protocol) and RAG-based solutions. The role involves building and integrating AI systems using Azure OpenAI developing MCP tools/servers for secure tool integration and designing scalable retrieval-augmented applications.

Key Skills:

Strong Python development experience
Hands-on with RAG (chunking embeddings retrieval evaluation)
Experience with MCP/tool integration & API development
Azure OpenAI & Azure AI Search (vector/hybrid search)
Building secure production-grade AI/chatbot solutions

Experience:

3-6 years total software development experience.
Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI and Azure AI/Search.
Practical experience with agent frameworks and MCP/tool-use patterns.
