Job Title- AI Engineer / Builder (coding tooling)

Job Type-contract Hybrid 4 days

Job Location-Springfield IL

Key responsibilities:

Build and iterate on internal tools automations and lightweight applications to support program delivery

Rapidly prototype AI-enabled solutions (LLM-based agents workflow automation document processing data extraction)

Integrate with APIs and existing systems; set up and configure tooling for the team

Translate non-technical requests into functioning tools with minimal spec

Maintain debug and improve tools as needs evolve

Required skills:

Strong coding ability (Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript); comfortable across the stack

Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and agentic frameworks

Experience with rapid prototyping and modern AI-assisted development tools

Ability to work independently and ship fast in an ambiguous environment

Data handling and scripting (APIs JSON basic ETL)

Nice to have: Experience in public sector or large enterprise; familiarity with SAP or ERP data; prior consulting/PMO tooling
