POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform testing troubleshooting and build optimization of optoelectronic equipment to ensure compliance with production quality schedule and performance standards. Quality standards include preventing nonconforming material report (NCMR) escapes that impact product functionality; schedule standards focus on meeting on-time delivery commitments; and performance standards emphasize manufacturing yield throughput and productivity objectives.

Work from daily instructions and established procedures to execute test plans document manufacturability assessments and record test results and outcomes. Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to take on new assignments while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Communicate plans progress issues and recommendations regularly to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs various production assembly operations on electronic components and sub-assemblies
• Uses test procedures drawings schematics and verbal/written instructions to test and troubleshoot units
• Performs the set-up calibration testing and troubleshooting of circuits components instruments and mechanical assemblies
• Documents test results accurately
• Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize nonconformities is required
• Maintains fixturing performs calibration preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance
• May assist with training other AE employees in established processes
• May act as the technical interface with other departments

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Location: Fort Collins CO
• Environment: manufacturing environment which may be noisy and fast paced
• Many tasks are repetitive in motion and include the use of electronic assembly equipment
• Overtime (OT) may be required in times of increased production or service repairs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Communicates openly and effectively in a professional manner
• Understands and follows all safety requirements
• Understands and follows all ISO practices and procedures
• Ability to effectively work in a team environment
• Models professional and positive work ethics
• Considers the impact of quality on the customers when making decisions
• Proven ability and experience maintaining flexibility and being able to adapt in a team environment
• Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices
• Ability to perform basic reading writing and math functions
• Soldering skills required
• Ability to perform basic electro/mechanical assembly skills
• Component Identification and the ability to read technical assembly documentation and schematics required
• Basic computer knowledge

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing

EDUCATION:

• AAS degree in electronics or equivalent

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including but not limited to skill set level of experience and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $25.00 to $31.00 per hour.
