We are looking for an Advisor IT/OT Networking and Server Technician to help ensure the safe secure and reliable operation of industrial control systems and operational technology across our Power facilities.
In this role you will take end-to-end ownership of complex IT/OT networking and server issues applying disciplined analysis strong governance and continuous improvement practices to protect critical assets and operational performance. This role will be titled Advisor TIS Systems Analysis internally to align with Enbridges title structure.
What you will do
- Build strong partnerships with business operations and technical teams to understand priorities identify requirements and stakeholders communicate system impacts and coordinate technical solutions.
- Support the reliability availability and security of IT/OT infrastructure including SCADA and business networks Windows servers network devices backups and supporting systems across Power facilities.
- Lead incident and problem resolution through troubleshooting investigation root cause analysis solution design and implementation while adhering to safety cybersecurity change management and governance requirements.
- Perform regular site visits to inspect IT/OT infrastructure and install replace configure and validate rack-mounted network and server equipment.
- Analyze configure test implement and document new or enhanced IT/OT functionality while identifying opportunities to optimize systems data flows dependencies and overall operational performance.
- Maintain accurate system documentation architecture diagrams procedures CMDB and ServiceNow inventory records access controls and reliable backups of critical OT systems and infrastructure.
- Support regulatory and internal compliance requirements including Third Party Risk Assessments (TPRA) Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) and TIS Change Management processes while cross-training and sharing knowledge across the TIS Power team.
Who you are
- Undergraduate degree OR a two-year technical diploma in IT Computer Science Networking or a related subject area.
- 4 years of OT/IT experience troubleshooting and configuration network and server expertise in safetycritical environments.
- Hands-on experience working in OT/ICS environments and managing complex network infrastructure including experience with Cisco Hirschmann Moxa and/or SEL networking equipment.
- Experience administering Windows Server 2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 virtualized environments backup and disaster recovery systems and IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Strong troubleshooting analytical and root cause analysis capabilities and can take ownership of complex technical issues while appropriately balancing urgency operational reliability safety security and governance.
- Working knowledge of industrial telemetry protocols such as OPC MODBUS and DNP along with the ability to conduct detailed physical equipment inspections and install or replace rack-mounted equipment.
- Collaborative and adaptable professional with excellent relationship-building time management verbal communication and technical writing skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Hold a valid drivers license and are able to travel as required.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of power generating or substation systems technical support relevant CompTIA Cisco or Microsoft certifications and applicable AI proficiency are considered assets.
- Experience leading or supporting infrastructure lifecycle projects technology upgrades site commissioning activities or OT modernization initiatives.
Working Conditions:
- Typical office work environment.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time for customer visits industry events conferences and business development opportunities.
Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping kneeling light moderate lifting (objects up to 30 pounds) reaching above shoulder repetitive motion typing sitting standing visual requirement (able to see screens detect color coding read fine print) hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Salary:
- Ranges from $85000 $105000 USD for US locations based upon candidates experience skills and internal equity.
- Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
