Rehab Without Walls is seeking an experienced and motivated Admissions Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact and a strong advocate for our patients and their this critical role you will help guide individuals through the admissions process with empathy expertise and a commitment to exceptional care.
Were looking for a driven professional who is passionate about improving the lives of individuals recovering from brain injuries spinal cord injuries and other complex conditions. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Proven experience verifying insurance benefits and negotiating with commercial payers and workers compensation programs
- Strong knowledge of reimbursement processes and payer guidelines
- The ability to communicate effectively with patients families referral sources and clinical teams
- A collaborative mindset and dedication to patient advocacy and positive outcomes
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Serve as the primary contact for incoming referrals and admissions coordination
- Verify insurance coverage and secure authorizations
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to facilitate seamless patient transitions
- Advocate for patients by ensuring access to appropriate care and services
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and payers

What you will need:
- Minimum of Associates degree in business or health care related field preferred.
- Related admissions and medical insurance work experience will be considered in place of degree
- Broad knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficient data entry and computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Able to function in position with minimal supervision
- Effective and professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced in negotiating with insurance companies
