With a staff of 950 and an annual budget of $140 million Project Renewal is one of the larger social service nonprofits in New York : Administrative Assistant Program: Marshas HouseSalary Range: $45000/$24.72 per hourProgram Description:Marshas house is a shelter for 81 homeless men and women who identify as part of the LGBTQ community. The shelter is in the Belmont section of the Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Shelter Director with some latitude for independent action the Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a myriad of administrative duties to assist the Director in the achievement of the goals and objectives of the program; performs related Duties and Responsibilities:The essential duties of the Administrative Assistant include but are not limited to the following activities:Performs administrative support to the Shelter Director as well as the supervisory staff of the social services and operations departmentsProcesses petty cash reimbursementManages the Paycom system for the shelterProcess all paperwork for personnel actions including new hires separated staff recruitment flyers and related mattersOrganizes and maintains a proper filing system for the officePerforms other duties as assigned by the Shelter DirectorsAvailable to work in the evenings and on weekends when necessaryOrders supplies and assists in inventorying and tracking deliveries of suppliesQualifications:Associate degree and work experience as described below.A minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a nonprofit or government organization performing responsible clerical administrative school diploma or GED and work experience as described in item #2 of five (5) years of experience working in a nonprofit or government organization performing responsible clerical administrative Renewal is an equal opportunity employer.
