Tri County Tech is currently seeking an Adjunct Practical Nursing Instructor to help prepare adult students for careers as practical nurses and other healthcare professions. The instructor supplies student enrichment in Nursing by incorporating real-world experiences that carry over into the broad areas of the medical field. What Youll Possess

As a qualified candidate:

• Youll possess a Registered Nurse (non-encumbered) license in the state of Oklahoma.
• Youll possess a minimum of two years of related work experience within the last five years.
• Youll be CPR certified.
• Youll have familiarity with current nursing practices and procedures.
• Youll have familiarity with pedagogy and the training and development of others.
• You are detail-oriented and organized.
• Youll strive to exceed expectations and have excellent communication skills.
• Youll take the initiative seek out projects and openly accept other duties as assigned.
• You continually look for ways to improve your skill set and are always open to receiving feedback.

What Youll Do

Instructors plan and deliver high-level rigorous instruction to students in a trade area. They are technical experts in a given field/ area of specialty with the ability to teach leadership and employability skills. They understand the concept of andragogy and pedagogy and the learners motivation while displaying patience and enthusiasm to help their students meet their goals. Instructors are lifelong learners who can adapt easily to meet the needs of their students. They manage multiple projects with self-directed deadline-driven accountability. They are high-functioning professionals applying the use of discretion and independent judgment while maintaining ultimate accountability.

Essential Functions:

• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the districts curriculum goals as well as the individual needs of each student.
• Translate lesson plans into learning experiences that effectively utilize the available time for instruction.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
• Evaluate students academic and social growth keep appropriate records and prepare reports relating to students progress.
• Identify student needs and cooperate with other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health attitude and learning problems.

• Other Job-Related Duties as Assigned by the Supervisor: The omission of duties does not exclude it from the position if similar related or a logical assignment to the other words youll be helping out on spontaneous projects and opportunities not listed above.

Terms of Employment: Adjunct

M-F approximately 5-15 hours per week.

Evaluation: Performance evaluated by the Instructional Director per Board policy.

Salary: $30.00 per hour
