Adjunct Instructor Physics
Position Description:
Position Overview: The Department of Math and Physics invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach General Physics 1 this upcoming Fall semester 2026. The meeting times and additional information are as follows:
General Physics 1 (PHY2201) Monday/Wednesday/Friday 9:45 AM - 11:00 AM
This course runs August 31st to December 18th 2026. Duties include delivering lectures in a classroom setting administering exams and grading students assignments.
Qualifications
The candidates should meet the following qualifications:
Hold at least a MS in Physics Mathematics or a related field.
College-level teaching and experience utilizing learning management systems (i.e.- Canvas) and technology in the classroom is highly desirable.

Compensation
Minimum: $5000 per 4-credit course
Minimum: $3750 per lab section
The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as but not limited to candidate qualifications and prior experience scope of responsibilities internal equity and market considerations.
PHY2201 -General Physics 1: First semester of a one-year introduction to physics without calculus. Topics normally include vectors kinematics Newtons laws of motion work and energy momentum torque statics and circular and rotational motion.
