The Activity Assistant supports Memory Care residents by facilitating engaging programs and providing compassionate assistance. This role combines creativity caregiving and collaboration to enhance residents daily experiences.

• Lead and assist residents with scheduled activities arts crafts and music programs

• Encourage participation while respecting individual preferences

• Coordinate activities with Assisted Living and Memory Care staff

• Observe residents and report changes in behavior or safety concerns to nursing

• Maintain a clean safe and organized activity environment

• Respond promptly to emergencies or suspected abuse and notify supervisor

• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or GED required; Activity-related education preferred

• 1 year experience in caregiving or activity programming

• CPR & First Aid Dementia & Mental Health training and Food Handlers Permit (or ability to obtain)

• Valid Washington State Drivers License with clean driving record

• Strong communication organization multitasking and creativity skills

• Lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents as needed

• Stand walk bend squat and perform repetitive arm/hand movements during shifts
