Job Summary
Wyman-Gordons ISO Group located in Worcester Massachusetts consists of three integrated manufacturing sites that produce high-performance nickel-based alloy components for aerospace defense and industrial gas turbine applications. Brighton MI and Princeton KY facilities specialize in producing nickel-based superalloys supplying material to the Worcester MA isothermal forging operation. As part of Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) the ISO Group is a growing $300 million business serving leading aerospace and defense customers with critical high-performance forged components.
Accounting Manager
- Lead and coordinate the monthly quarterly and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare review and analyze financial statements supporting schedules account reconciliations and management reporting packages.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP PCC accounting policies and internal financial controls.
- Lead and oversee the ISO Groups Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program including control documentation testing and remediation activities.
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions ensuring timely collections and payment through management of the aging reports.
- Maintain ownership of balance sheet accounts including reconciliations reserves accruals and provision calculations.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the primary liaison with auditors.
- Partner with operational and business leaders to identify risks and opportunities develop corrective action plans and support achievement of financial commitments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes reporting accuracy internal controls and system capabilities.
- Participate in the monthly consolidation of financial results and ensure accurate submission to division and corporate management.
- Administer financial systems policies and procedures that effectively measure operational and financial performance.
Qualifications
- A minimum 5-8 years financial management experience in progressively responsible positions within public manufacturing organizations with a demonstrated track record of accountability and achievement.
- Strong skills and knowledge of accounting theory and application of financial principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge of Manufacturing / Cost Accounting preferred
- Knowledge and experience managing financial operations in a multi-site environment.
- Demonstrated track record of financial control and analysis within a complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong managerial presence that reflects a hands-on participative pro-active operating style. Excellent communication planning and organization skills.
- B.S. degree required.
- MBA/CPA preferred.
- Strong Excel Skills required SQL Skills preferred
- Knowledge of Syteline ERP preferred
