While Apexs Partner Services office was created only in 2019 many of our companies have been successful for decades; collectively we already have over 10000 teammates and are expanding very rapidly. While our market share is still single digits we are the largest organization in residential home services and have a stunning (and recession resistant) growth potential.

This very fragmented industry is dominated by small and founder-owned businesses; our strategy is to execute significant organic growth initiatives and M&A while building out best-in-class professional departments like Finance and Accounting at the Partner Services level (but execute the function locally where possible). The right candidate will have leadership impact and visibility across the organization and be part of active strategic conversations with senior executives including our CAO CFO and senior leadership team.

Job Description APS Accountant

Mission of the Role:

We are looking for an Accountant within Partner Services. TheAccountantwill be a critical team member and early employee participating in building a highly scalable best-in-class finance organization as a key partner with theregional andApex GroupAccounting teams.

TheAccountantwill be a critical team member within the organization reporting directly to the APS Manager. He / she will have extensive involvement in establishing accounting controls and policies to support the Company as it grows. The Accountant must have superior organization and communication skills while maintaining strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for various daily accounting transactions related to Partner Services. This individual will participate heavily in the robust month-end close process for Partner Services working closely with theAPS GroupController to ensure financial reporting integrity. This role will also provide supporttothe broaderregionalaccounting teamsby assisting withaccount reconciliations audit assistance system implementation testing and other special project work as needed at Partner Services relating to the onboarding and integration of new companiestothe6regional teams. The Accountant will also be highly involved in the year-end audit process for Partner Services by providing support as requested. This opportunity offers high visibility in a rapidly growing company and the successful candidate must show great initiative including the ability to work with limited supervision.

TheAccountantis responsible for executing accounting and transactional functions specifically at Partner Services andto providesupport to the Regional Accounting Teams as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post monthly centralized entries relating to the 6 regional teams as part of month end close.

• Master the use and roll-out of FloQast - ensure an accurate and timely month-end and year-end close process prepare balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis

• Assist with providing external auditors all requested materials in conjunction with the APS Senior Manager

• Identify opportunities forefficienciesand implement streamlined procedures where possible

• Execute the individual and team goals that support strategic and operational initiatives

• Contribute to team culture

Experience:

• 1-3 years of prior accounting experience (public accounting preferred)

• Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field

• Ability to communicate accounting and financial information into common language

• CPA license a plus

• Experience with Sage Intacct and accounting ERP implementations a plus

• Extreme formatting organization and priority setting skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills attention to detail and teamwork
