What you can expect to work on
You are responsible for supporting the accurate and timely execution of the companys accounting activities and preparation of management reports.
- One of the important tasks is general accounting in support of financial reporting and analysis. The position will work closely with the Controller and Assistant Controller in support of department and company goals.
- This position serves as an experienced accounting resource within the Finance team and will perform the following activities: 1) review accounting activities related to the general ledger; 2) account reconciliations; 3) accounts receivable; 4) fixed assets 5) month-end close procedures; 6) financial reporting; 7) financial analysis; 8) audit support; and 9) departmental project support.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience
- 3 - 6 years of progressively responsible accounting experience in public accounting and/or manufacturing environment
- Experience with the following:
- General ledger accounting
- Account reconciliations & month-end close
- Management reporting
- Supporting external audits
- Extracting and analyzing large amounts of data

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and accounting/ERP systems
Great to have
- 6 years of progressively challenging accounting experience
- CPA designation
- Experience with:
- Inventory or cost accounting
- Power BI and/or AI
Other things to know
- Full-time position
- The companys standard operating hours are Monday thru Friday 6:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts
- This position will have regular working hours Monday - Friday within the standard operating hours
- There is an expectation of adjusting working hours outside the standard hours to meet operational requirements as needed
- Niowave has multiple locations within the Lansing area and travel between locations is expected in the role
