Job Summary

This is an in-person position under the direction of the Associate Director of the Accommodated Testing Center is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Testing Center including supervising proctors and student workers. This role is in-person and ensures that testing services are delivered efficiently and in accordance with prescribed guidelines providing high-quality accessible testing experiences for students with documented disabilities; including but not limited to learning disabilities ADHD psychological disabilities as well as physical and health-related disabilities and temporary disabilities. Position schedule is Monday through Friday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain confidentiality while providing approved testing accommodations for DAS registered university students including but not necessarily limited to extended time test reading proctoring scribe text to speech distraction reduced environment etc.
  • Assist with answering phone calls respond to student and faculty disability related questions ensure all forms and exams are received and secured act as liaison between students and faculty ensure completed exams and testing materials are scanned and returned to instructors.
  • Assist with recordkeeping and data collection.
  • Ensure student belongings are secured during testing period including cell phones iPads etc.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree required 2 years experience In-person (on-campus position) Excellent communication and service skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • At least one years work experience in a related area

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of ADA and Section 504 as it relates to students with disabilities.
  • Some experience in university support services preferred.
  • Ability to work with confidential highly sensitive information.
  • Working knowledge of assistive technology Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to embrace utilize and master new technology.
  • Professional team-oriented individual with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to positively interact with diverse groups of students parents faculty and staff.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines while handling information confidentially.
  • Able to work 12 p.m.-8 p.m. weekdays
