Position Overview
The Associate Accountant External Reporting supports the preparation and filing of external financial reports and SEC filings for a major energy services company. This developmental role gives hands-on exposure to public company financial reporting SEC compliance U.S. GAAP and financial statement disclosures. It is a strong opportunity for recent graduates looking to build a foundation in corporate accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and filing of SEC reports including Forms 10-Q 10-K and 8-K
• Support the preparation of earnings releases and other external reporting requirements
• Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statement disclosures and supporting documentation
• Prepare and post journal vouchers and basic accounting reports and analyses
• Work cross-functionally with Investor Relations Treasury Tax Legal FP&A and Corporate Accounting teams

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Business or a related field
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statements
• Strong interest in financial reporting SEC compliance and technical accounting
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial applications
• Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a corporate environment
