SCHOOL YEAR 2026-2027
POSITION: Junior High Social Studies/Coach
LOCATION: Pewitt Junior High School
Coaching position to be determined based on applicant qualfications. All interested applicants in coaching boys basketball or girls junior high sports should apply.
Position Summary:Provide students with appropriate instruction to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual emotional physical and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelors Degree
Licenses/Other:
Appropriate State of Texas Teaching Certificate
CDL Preferred/Expected for Coaching Position
Degree in history and/or experience teaching 8th grade social studies preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- Knowlege of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage classroom
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
