SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. overtime as needed including weekends.
Job Summary: Operates and maintains poly machines bailers conveyors. Loads poly into the poly-machines. Loads bailers into the bailing weight monitoring – monitoring product to ensure net weight is being met. Responsible for ensuring packaging materials are kept clean and safe. Maintaining quality product (ensure proper counts product appearance of packages product. Before during and after packaging. Manually stacking and wrapping packaged products. Responsible for inspection greasing equipment and part replacement of poly machines bail packers conveyors etc. (checking hoses working condition etc. of the equipment). Maintaining the poly machine and area in good clean working conditions. Dry cleaning (sweeping blowing). Documenting weight checks label and product verification lot code information onto products (printed on to the poly film) record keeping related to cleaning and record keeping related to preventive maintenance. Poly machine operators are responsible for notifying Supervisor/Management of any quality food safety or food security issues.
Basic Qualifications
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Must be willing and able to read speak write and understand the English language fluently.
- Must possess good communication skills.
- Must possess basic maintenance skills.
- Must possess computer skills related to poly machine controls.
- Must be willing and able to climb up to 30 feet.
- Must be willing and able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Must be willing and able to bend stoop push pull twist and turn throughout the day.
- Must be willing and able to work in high temperatures for periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Must be willing and able to follow all safety and food safety rules.
- Other duties as requested by supervisor.
