What You Will Do:

The Aftermarket Operations team is looking for an Operations Cell Leader for the Geared Turbo Fan Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (GTF MRO) line operating in West Palm Beach (WPB) supporting the PW1100G-JM commercial engine. This role will be responsible for supporting the induction and tear down of selected individual will lead a team of bargaining unit hourly employees who are responsible for supporting the various areas of the GTF engines overhauled in selected candidate will also be expected to effectively provide clear communication to leadership peers and that are critical for success in this role are Customer Focus Adaptability Strategic Thinking and individual must embrace continuous improvement and be able to thrive in a highly visible dynamic setting.

This role reports to the Operations Manager and will be supporting 2nd working hours are 3:00PM 12:00AM Monday is available and may be required on our 1st shift for up to 3 months.

What You Will Do:

• Provide leadership and direction to the Operation team that ultimately supports desired financial goals and engine return dates.

• Collaborate with the Operations and support teams to establish work schedules considering customer requirements resource availability and other top priorities.

• Proactively generate effective solutions for Quality process control and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

• Support process implementation and refinement activities throughout all process gates.

• Ensure World Class safety culture is maintained and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly.

• Ensure full involvement in continuous improvement initiatives tools to improve production performance and reduce overall operating cost.

• Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years prior experience leading team within an maintenance overhaul manufacturing or aerospace environment

• Specialized knowledge of aircraft maintenance requirements

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Advanced degree and 6 months of experience in Military Manufacturing Business Operations Management Engineering Aerospace or Aftermarket industry; OR Bachelors degree and 2 years of relevant industry experience; OR associates degree and 4 years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 6 years of relevant industry experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Degree in STEM field; Engineering Business or Supply Chain.

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate (A&P license)

• Personnel management experience ideally within a bargaining unit / union workforce environment.

• Proven ability to lead mentoring coaching developing talent and motivate teams to achieve business goals.

• Demonstrated experience in P&L management with a track record of delivering financial performance.

• Aftermarket Aerospace and Overhaul and Repair (MRO) industry experience.
  Working knowledge of Pratt & Whitney shop practices quality standards processes and procedures

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma QCPC and RCCA).

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs SAP ERP and Solumina MES.

• Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management shop personnel and customers.

The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
