Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Quality Inspector to join their team in Monroe this role you will support and execute quality and process improvement initiatives throughout the normal production process. This is a working production position with responsibility for monitoring the quality of products being produced.

Your Shift: 2nd shift; Monday through Friday from 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Your Responsibilities:

• Verify that final products meet production standards by comparing them to the written order instructions
• Examine material by confirming manufacturing or industry specifications conducting visual and measurement tests and rejecting unacceptable materials
• Return products for re-work when needed and complete documentation
• Explain to operators and supervisors when products do not match client instructions
• Move between machines to verify job accuracy
• Cross-train in postal shipping hand table and other areas
• Report quality issues to senior management immediately
• Ensure items leaving the facility are 100 percent accurate
• Input data into the production database
• Learn the production process and the role of QA
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment
• Inspect materials and products using fixed or preset measuring instruments
• Confirm materials and products meet established tolerance levels and are not damaged

You Must Have:

• 1 year of production experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic measuring skills including reading a ruler and other devices
• Basic computer skills such as opening saving printing and entering data
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on production needs

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25 pounds (lift push pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

• Experience in the print and mail industry
• Post-high school education
• Six Sigma training
• Lean manufacturing training
