Sigma Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused 2nd Shift Production Operator (Palletizer Operator) to join our onsite manufacturing team in Portland Oregon. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe efficient palletizer operations while ensuring product quality and compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Enterprise Quality Management System (EQMS) standards.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals interested in hands-on production and warehouse operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Operate a forklift safely and efficiently while following warehouse layout feed codes and date codes
Maintain continuous safe and efficient operation of the palletizer system
Operate and understand palletizer machinery forklift trucks and shrink-wrap equipment
Ensure palletizer is properly supplied with pallets slip-sheets and shrink-wrap
Place all finished product in designated locations according to EQMS guidelines
Accurately count all good product and communicate totals to the Packer Operator
Report all extra bag counts set-offs and metal detector kick-offs
Store empty bags in assigned locations
Monitor end-of-line product flow and remove finished product as required
Assist with troubleshooting and collaborate with maintenance to minimize downtime
Ensure products are clean undamaged and customer-ready
Complete all required written and electronic production documentation
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Assist other operators and perform additional duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED required
Entry-level position no prior experience required
Mechanically inclined with willingness to learn automated equipment
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs safely from floor to 50 inches
Comfortable working at heights (bins legs platforms and equipment)
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Ability to perform simple math using a calculator
Willingness to learn Repete Automation System
Willingness to learn safe operation of power industrial trucks
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Flexible to work overtime as needed
