Job Summary
An established privately held U.S.-based manufacturer of custom stainless-steel commercial foodservice equipment serving a global customer base is seeking a dependable self-starting 2nd Shift Production Manager to lead and develop its production team within a fast-paced fabrication and assembly environment.

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily shop floor operations driving productivity ensuring safety compliance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across multiple departments.

- Supervise all shop floor manufacturing operations related to stainless steel equipment production.
- Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including production output quality standards cost control and safety performance.
- Ensure production schedules are met and oversee daily activities of all production personnel.
- Maintain strong communication with first shift leadership and the Director of Manufacturing to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Partner with leadership on employee relations performance management coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Train evaluate and develop production team members to strengthen overall team capability and performance.
- Monitor material availability address shortages and ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained.
- Ensure all production documentation reporting and paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
- Coordinate with maintenance and facilities teams to resolve equipment and production line issues.
- Lead or support continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
- Track labor hours maintain production schedules and support procurement needs as required.
- Communicate engineering changes and production adjustments through appropriate leadership channels.
- 5 years of experience supervising production teams of 2040 employees in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on background in sheet metal fabrication and assembly is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to plan direct and support fabrication and assembly operations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings and product specifications.
- Solid understanding of sheet metal materials (stainless steel aluminum galvanized and related materials).
- Experience with CNC fabrication equipment such as laser cutters press brakes tube cutters and related machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve production and quality issues using measurement tools and engineering drawings.
- Proficiency with manufacturing systems and software including MRP systems Excel and Google Workspace tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflow optimization.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
2nd Shift: MondayThursday 3:00 PM 2:00 AM
