Job Summary

KIPP Miami seeks an experienced High School Algebra 1 / Geometry Teacher to design and deliver a rigorous college-preparatory mathematics program. This role teaches both Algebra 1 and Geometry. Algebra 1 is our priority. Many of our Algebra 1 students arrive with significant gaps in foundational math skills. We affirm the limitless potential of every student and we read those gaps as where instruction has to start not as a ceiling on what a student can achieve. We need a teacher who can find where the skills broke down rebuild them and still hold the grade-level bar. The ideal candidate has a proven record teaching high school mathematics including Algebra 1 Geometry and Geometry Honors and can build pathways that prepare students for Algebra II Honors Pre-Calculus AP Calculus AP Statistics AICE Mathematics and IB Mathematics. Coursework will integrate career and technical education (CTE) strands (e.g. architecture engineering design technology construction and computer-aided design CAD) and problem-based learning tied to South Floridas industries and STEM opportunities.
