- $30.41 - $34.99 per hour
- Will be updated per EESP CBA Salary Schedule 2026-2027
Assignment:
- Mon Fri; 8 hours per day
- 209 days per year

Summary:
The Elma School District Athletic Grounds Keeper must be self-motivated and have pride in the Elma School District and the appearance of our facilities.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- WSP/FBI fingerprint background clearance (fee paid by the employee)
- Valid Washington State Driver License
- Must have the ability to problem solve situations and be self-reliant
- Able to produce a high volume of work with good quality
- Ability to work with the Athletic Director Maintenance Supervisor co-workers other administration coaching staffs and students
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge and aptitude for lawn/turf care and maintenance
- Have a willingness to attend necessary training or workshops to increase grounds care knowledge
- Physical stamina and strength to perform in work areas
- Possess the physical ability to perform grounds tasks. Must be able to:
- hook-up tractor attachments load equipment and fertilizer bags weighing 80 or more pounds periodically through the shift
- withstand bouncing and jostling of tractor operation for four or more hours per day
- withstand vibration and arm/shoulder strain of gas weed eater operation for four or more hours per day
- Willingness to accept changes in work hours and schedules
- Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
- The safety and health of students and others are essential functions of this position
