2027 Welding Engineer Intern


Welding EngineeringInternshippositions are designed to provide students with challenging projects that play a key role welding production and development activities. Under the guidance of a mentor interns are given a meaningful work experience a project assignment to complete and the opportunity to apply classroom education to real work situations.


Additional responsibilities may include welding test performance and data analysis materials research and analysis manufacturing support performance cost serviceability and process may include GTAW GMAW SAW FCAW welding structurally and on pipe. We also deploy full robotic solutions along with multiple variations of cobots for welding assemblies.

  • Small and Large Spool shop
  • Large Structures bases
  • Large Structures OGM
  • Cobots & Automation
  • Welder Training
  • Process improvement projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currentlyin the process of obtaininga 4 year or advanced degree in Welding Engineering or Welding Engineering Technology or other relevant degree.
  • Classifiedby your school as a Sophomore Junior Senior planning to attend graduate school or currently attending graduate school.
  • Overall GPA of at least2.8on a 4.0 scale.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previousco-op or Internship experience.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • High energylevelandsenseof urgency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good business / technical judgment.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities for a variety of tasks.

Summary Pay Range:

$26.00 - $43.00

Intern Hourly Rate:

An interns hourly rate is based on the major/degree being pursued and the number of completed academic hours achieved before the start of the internship.
