Job Summary
POSITION OVERVIEW
KIPP Indy Unite Elementary is seeking an enrichment teacher to provide high-quality instruction in the arts physical education SEL etc.
Teachers at KIPP Indy Unite Elementary are responsible for delivering effective high-quality rigorous instruction in their classroom that produces strong results and student understanding. Teachers will use data to inform their instruction and do whatever it takes for all students to learn. Teachers at KIPP Indy Unite are committed to leading and teaching through an student-centered and culturally responsive lens will work to make their classrooms safe joyful environments and build relationships with their students to ensure every student can be successful.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver engaging rigorous standards-aligned enrichment instruction for students in grades K5 within the assigned content area.
- Develop age-appropriate lessons that build students content knowledge skills creativity critical thinking and confidence while fostering enthusiasm for the enrichment subject.
- Differentiate instruction and provide appropriate supports and extensions to ensure students with varying learning needs can successfully engage in rigorous learning.
- Establish clear learning objectives and use checks for understanding student work assessments and other available data to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
- Create a safe joyful structured learning environment with clear routines and high expectations for student engagement behavior and participation.
- Implement effective classroom management practices and consistently reinforce school-wide expectations across grade levels.
- Build strong relationships with students and families and communicate proactively regarding student progress successes and areas for growth.
- Collaborate with grade-level teachers instructional leaders and other enrichment staff to support student learning and contribute to a cohesive K5 instructional program.
- Maintain organized instructional materials equipment supplies and learning spaces appropriate to the assigned enrichment content area.
- Participate in school-wide events performances exhibitions showcases competitions or other opportunities connected to the enrichment program as applicable.
- Participate actively in ongoing coaching classroom observations feedback cycles collaborative planning team learning and required professional development; consistently implement feedback and agreed-upon action steps to strengthen instructional practice and student outcomes.

EXPECTATIONS
- Arrive at school by 8:10 a.m.
- Attend professional development including summer onboarding.
- Track and analyze student data regularly and attend team meetings.
- Fulfill all expectations outlined in the KIPP Employee Handbook.
Qualifications :
- Valid Indiana teaching license or applying for reciprocity with a valid out-of-state license (required).
- Bachelors degree in elementary education or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience (preferred).
- Strong understanding of foundational literacy and child development (required).
- Proven record of fostering academic success in diverse underserved communities (preferred).
- Experience in using data to guide instruction and improve student outcomes (preferred).
- Unwavering commitment to KIPP Indys mission and vision (required).
- Pass a criminal background check as required by law (required).
Additional Information :
Licensed teacher starting at $50000
Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a highly competitive benefits package. Opportunities for performance-based bonuses are also available.
