Our Airborne RF Electronics Department has an immediate need for a Development Support Electrical Engineer I.We are looking for candidates to collaborate and coordinate with our manufacturing facility Program Operations Supply Chain Quality and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during design testing and this role you will foster a culture of trust transparency compliance and accountability. This position will reside within the Cabin Production Design Support section that supports the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program.

What You Will Do:

• Troubleshooting hardware and issues down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) server switch and/or component levels to include analog/digital/power circuitry and interfaces
• Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner
• Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
• Communicate to program leadership status updates
• Partnering in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures
• Ability to travel periodically to different Raytheon facilities suppliers and/or customer sites to support in-person meetings and system integration efforts (up to 25%)

What You Will Learn:

• Fault isolation / troubleshooting at the system to WRA/LRU/Sub-system level
• Prototyping and understanding leading edge technology in support of the program
• Working in dynamic environment and supporting hardware team in preparation of formal design reviews
• Gain experience with Digital Electronics that apply to Advanced Airborne Radars

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)obtained prior to start
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required within 1 year of employment. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with analysis of technical data schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting efforts and familiarity with standard engineering lab equipment.

Experience may be obtained through onthejob experience research coursework or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Knowledge of Linux C MATLAB Python programming languages
• Experience with fiber optic methodologies standards inspection criteria equipment and tools
• Familiarity with hardware compliance of Raytheon Quality Notes J-STD-001 and ISO9001/AS9100 standards

The salary range for this role is 57200 USD - 108800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
