1^st Shift Maintenance Technician

Rate: $25-30/hr

Hours: Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm Fridays overtime

Responsibilities:

- Perform preventative predictive and corrective maintenance on converting equipment packaging equipment conveyors pumps motors gearboxes and other production machinery.

- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems.

- Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely repairs to minimize downtime.

- Perform machine changeovers adjustments and equipment installations as needed.

- Read and interpret blueprints schematics technical manuals and equipment drawings.

- Inspect equipment and identify opportunities for improvement and reliability enhancements.

- Maintain facility systems including compressed air HVAC plumbing and building maintenance as required.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety quality productivity and equipment reliability.

- Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.

- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED required

- 3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

- Experience with paper converting printing packaging or high-speed production equipment preferred

- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills

- Working knowledge of electrical systems motors drives sensors.

- Experience with hydraulic systems

- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus

- Ability to use hand tools power tools and precision measuring instruments

- Ability to stand walk bend climb and lift to 50 pounds

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment noise and varying temperatures

- Ability to work overtime and respond to emergency maintenance situations as needed
