1st Class Shipfitter Full-Time Day Shift
Location: Morgan City LA
Summary
Seeking an experienced 1st Class Shipfitter for a marine repair yard. Responsibilities include reading blueprints fitting and fabricating structural steel performing vessel repairs and working safely in a fast-paced shipyard environment.
Must-Haves
- 3 years of shipfitting experience
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Experience with steel fitting layout and structural repairs
- Knowledge of shipyard tools and safety practices
- Reliable transportation
Preferred
- 5 years of marine repair experience
- Experience with barges tugs or offshore vessels
- NCCER or trade certification
- Rigging forklift or lift certifications
