Job Summary

My name is Oksana Im the Head of People at Mate academy. I am looking for a HR BP with a strong HR background in building people and business processes who can become independent and autonomous right after the end of the probation period.

To give you an idea of what its like to work with me: I love analytics and base my decisions on numbers so building dashboards and evaluating process efficiency is like air to me. Im also a strong believer that if a job can be automated it shouldnt steal time from creativity and thinking. Thats a personal passion of mine and something I encourage my team to embrace too.

My principle is done is better than perfect. I like quick tests and a fast pace we work by shipping MVPs and iterating thats how things get done here. We dont spend a lot of time on perfection.

Your qualities and skills that will be valued:
  • English B2 as youll be working with team members in Ukraine Brazil and Poland.

  • 3 years of experience in HR including experience supporting managers and building processes from scratch.

  • If you led an L&D function setup from scratch this would be a huge plus.

  • Working knowledge of HR analytics and comfort using data to inform decisions ability to visualize data

  • Experience in process automation using AI tools

  • A proactive results-driven mindset comfortable pushing things forward challenging the status quo and taking ownership to get things done right

Your additional advantages:
  • Experience with process automation or at least a strong desire to learn.

Your responsibilities will include:

Ongoing processes running whats already working and running it well:

  • Owning the day-to-day management of our onboarding and offboarding processes (conducting meetings exit interviews writing feedback and recommendations for managers)

  • Moderating our performance review process and supporting managers throughout it helping them evaluate their people fairly and prepare good feedback

  • Conducting 1-on-1s with employees and writing a short summary after each quarter key insights challenges raised and action items.

  • Analyzing HR data and building dashboards/reports that track the efficiency of the processes you own

  • Automating repetitive low-value tasks within your processes so your time goes to thinking and creative work

  • Conducting 1-1s with managers help building high performance and fast moving teams

Challenges & projects right now these are our biggest priorities and the first ones youll take ownership of one at a time each quarter:

  • Building our Learning & Development function from the ground up including skill development plans aligned with where our strategy is heading and clear growth paths for employees

  • Owning our retention strategy with particular focus on keeping our longest-tenured people challenged and growing

  • Building our internal communications function

  • Building a support and development system for managers:

    • Define the path to becoming a manager and the readiness criteria

    • Create managers evaluation system and improve their people-management skills

Work format: Hybrid in Kyiv or Lviv or remote with occasional office visits.
