About the Role

The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 4 class delivering engaging and well-planned lessons that promote academic progress independence and a love of learning.

You will create an inclusive classroom where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence across the curriculum while preparing them for the transition into Upper Key Stage 2. Working closely with colleagues you will contribute to curriculum planning assessment and the wider life of the school.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2

  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Passion for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons

Desirable

  • Experience teaching Year 4

  • Knowledge of effective assessment strategies

  • Commitment to extracurricular activities and wider school life

  • A proven track record of raising pupil achievement
