Driven by the foreseeable rapid growth of WBG power module market in the application sectors of railway traction HVDC electric vehicle and data centres the company is committed to invest more resources in this strategic product field. This is pivotal moment to join Dynex as the WBG Module Product Manager (WBG MPM). In this role you will be able to coordinate the whole product lifecycle management including the market and customer request input the WBG product specification the product development the reliability engineering the quality control the manufacturing process the cost control as well as the field application. The successful candidate will have the passionate the technology background the communication skills and the methodology awareness to ensure the effective collaboration across various departments in the company to ensure the success in this product line.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a motivated WBG MPM to take the responsibility of managing the lifecycle of our WBG power module products. Being a market and customer driven role the WBG MPMs responsibility will be closely aligned with the companys future direction in WBG product development. As a part of the strategic investment in this new business sector the role will have the potential to develop in the future towards the WBG Product Line Manager and Product Line Director depending on the revenue of this product this role you will drive the development of WBG power semiconductor modules (SiC and GaN) from the initial market and customer input all the way to the final product release. You will be able to lead a combined project team consisting salesperson application engineer R&D engineer procurement engineer quality engineer process development engineer and test engineer. You will also be supported by the department leaders of those roles to allocate resources for the project success. This role offers a unique challenge within our growing organization where your duties will include:

• Reporting to the R&D Director or Technical Director and providing regular updates about the product development status; Report to the senior management team about the product line status including market analysis customer analysis product status revenue/profit status and forecasts;

• Managing the whole lifecycle of the WBG module products to ensure the comprehensive competitiveness the sales revenue the profit and the close-loop of issues;

• Taking responsibility to organise the functional project team of WBG product development. Providing strong leadership and smooth coordination to the project team for commercial success of the product line; Organising periodic meetings to ensure the core teams alignment in critical information; Organising review meetings for quality gate control issuing the review meeting minutes and ensuring close-loop solutions to the review comments;

• Taking the first and foremost responsibility of the WBG module product development across the company following the advanced product quality planning (APQP) procedure including identifying the risks in market/customer requirement technology process quality and delivery implementation of proper risk management measures as well as regular communication with the customers to realise the market value of the products;

• Making and maintaining the WBG product project estimating the resource requirement and ensuring the progress. Taking responsibility to the overall quality cost revenue and deliverables of the whole project; Taking the responsibility of controlling the project change and coordinate the customer requirement change;

• Correctly executing the authority in resource allocation task assignment and progress control within the project team; Upgrading issues properly to the senior management team where major challenges risks and failures are identified;

• According to the market demand customer requirement competitors offering and Dynex capability issuing the WBG product development plan;

ABOUT YOU

As a team we work closely together. We are looking for a WBG MPM with strong coordination skills motivation to success and relevant technical background. The ideal candidate is expected to have >5 years of industrial experience in power modules. We offer support and development to new starters; therefore this role would suit established technical engineers who is keen to take on new challenges to lead a project team and expand their skills in product management. The ideal candidate for this role will be equipped with a combination of the following skills and competencies:

• Educated to at least Bachelors degree in electronics electrical mechanical materials engineering or Physics related subjects with industrial experience in at least one of the following fields relating to the power module packaging: design simulation processing production qualification and applications;

• Established understanding of the WBG power module application market situation technology development status and existing challenges;

• Experience with APQP product development methodology or other advanced product development methodologies;

• Demonstratable experience in project management risk management and scope change management; Sophisticated methodology to accommodate and response to dynamics in market requirements customer requirement and internal strategies; Capabilities and willingness to meet tight deadlines of various tasks according to the business operational requirements.

• Demonstratable good communication skills with both fellow colleagues people in the same technology fields and potential customers;

• Have the willingness and capacity to conduct reasonable amount of travels for visiting customers attending exhibitions and industrial meetings to strength our connection with customers seek their feedback and understanding their project requirements;

• Passionate and open minded to the adoption of new technologies such as new product introduction new process introduction and new tool implementation;

• Strong data analysis skills including the market analysis customer requirement analysis product line revenue analysis cost analysis revenue analysis production capacity analysis BOM analysis and yield analysis;

• Good summary and presentation skills to explain complex technical ideas to audiences in a different professional filed to facilitate the quick engagement with potential customers;

• Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams with a proactive can-do-attitude;

• Capability in communication in both English and Mandarin would be favourable.
