Werelooking for a Strategic Planning Analyst to join Anglian Waters Strategic Asset Management team and play a key role in shaping the long-term future of both water resources and water recycling services across our region.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of some of the most important planning activities in the water industry supporting the development of our Water Resources Management Plan and Drainage and Wastewater Management Plan. Your work will help ensure that strategic decisions are underpinned by robust evidence reliable data consistentmethodologiesand clear reporting.

Working across the Demand Forecasting andDecision Makingfunctions you will help deliver strategic planningprogrammeswhile supporting business planning annualreportingand regulatory submissions.

Whatyoullbe doing:
  • Developmaintainand improve datasets databases and reporting systems that underpin long-term planning activities

  • Support the delivery of Water Resources Management Plan Drainage and Wastewater Management Plan and Annual Performance Review reporting requirements

  • Maintain and enhance demand forecasting and demand management models

  • Build and improve reporting capability using Power BIGISand database platforms

  • Use Python and other analytical tools to improve data managementautomationand reporting processes

  • Manageinterpretand communicate large datasets relating to water demand populationleakageand wider planning metrics

  • Support scenario testingmodellingand analysis to aid strategic decision-making

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business and external planning partners

  • Promote data qualitygovernanceand continuous improvement

Whatwerelooking for
  • Proven experience building managing and interpreting datasets and analytical models

  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with database systems

  • Experience using Power BI to create meaningful reporting andvisualisations

  • Experience working with GIS and spatial datasets

  • Knowledge of or experience writing code using Python

  • Strong analyticalnumericaland problem-solving skills

  • Ability to interpret trends and communicate insights to different audiences

  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills

Desirable:Experience within the water sector or regulated utilities regulatory reporting demandforecastingor long-term planning.
