About the Role

Al Maidah is looking for friendly hardworking and enthusiastic Waiters / Front of House Team Members to join our busy restaurant team.

As a member of our front-of-house team you will play an important part in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our customers. We are looking for people who take pride in excellent customer service maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation and are comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers warmly and professionally and helping them to their tables
• Providing attentive friendly and efficient service throughout the customers visit
• Taking and serving drinks and any additional food orders accurately and promptly
• Clearing used plates glasses and cutlery promptly and discreetly throughout service
• Cleaning resetting and preparing tables quickly to maintain a smooth flow of customers during busy periods
• Ensuring restaurant and customer areas remain clean tidy and presentable at all times
• Monitoring customers needs and responding promptly to requests
• Assisting customers with general enquiries and referring questions regarding ingredients or allergens to the appropriate trained member of staff
• Processing customer payments accurately when required
• Working closely with colleagues supervisors kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient service
• Assisting with opening closing and general restaurant duties as required
• Following all company procedures relating to food hygiene health and safety cleanliness and customer service
• Handling customer concerns politely and professionally and referring complaints to a supervisor or manager where appropriate
• Supporting other members of the team when the restaurant is particularly busy

• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good punctuality reliability and personal presentation
• An understanding of the importance of food hygiene health and safety and allergen awareness
• The physical ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and safely carry plates trays and other restaurant items
• Flexibility to work evenings weekends bank holidays and during particularly busy periods

Previous experience in a busy restaurant hospitality or customer-service environment is desirable although attitude reliability and a willingness to learn are equally important. Full training will be provided.
