Volunteering with Change Grow Live isa great wayto make a real difference in peoples lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community develop new skills or meet like-minded people there are plenty of reasons to get involved.

Most of our volunteer opportunitiesdontneed any special qualifications.Wellmake sure you get all the training and support you need. All we ask is thatyourekind open-minded and passionate about supporting people.

Purpose of role:

At Change Grow Live we believe groups area great wayto engage and connect with those who use our services. We therefore offer a wide range ofStructuredGroupworkProgrammes includingAtlas Recovery ProgramandSMART Recoveryas well asothersemistructuredgroups.

As aGroup Work SupportVolunteer you willbe able tosupportwiththe facilitationand preparation ofarange of structured groups both physical and online. This will include promoting groups to service users reminding them ofupcomingsessionsand engaging with those who do not attend.You can also be involved inmaking motivational callsto encourage attendance and promotea range ofcommunity-basedrecoveryactivities.You will be provided with training and supported to eventually be able to take the lead in delivering some of theSMART and semi-structuredgroups and provide one to one support to clients.

As part of your journey with us attending our training sessions is essential to support you in your role. Our sessions will equip you with what you need to thrive in your volunteer role.

Training:

Mandatory: Volunteer Induction training

Mandatory: Boundaries/Confidentiality training

Mandatory Drug Awareness training

Mandatory: Harm Reduction training

Mandatory: Alcohol Awareness training
