Job Summary
TPF Recruitment is recruiting for a Trust Manager to join a highly respected professional services firm based in Maidstone.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trust professional to join a successful and supportive team. The position can be shaped around the successful applicants experience with flexible working arrangements and both full time and part time hours considered.
You will manage a varied portfolio of trusts and estates overseeing compliance work while providing high quality advice to trustees beneficiaries and private clients. Depending on your experience there will also be opportunities to support the development of junior team members and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of trusts and estates
- Preparing and reviewing trust accounts and tax returns
- Advising clients on trust taxation inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters
- Liaising with trustees beneficiaries solicitors investment managers and HMRC
- Supporting estate administration and wider private client advisory work
- Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team
- Maintaining strong client relationships and identifying opportunities to provide additional support
- The successful candidate will have significant experience working with trusts gained within an accountancy practice legal firm trust company or professional services environment. STEP CTA ATT or accountancy qualifications would be advantageous although experienced candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
- Salary of 50000 to 75000 depending on experience

Required Skills:
The Personal Tax Manager will be: ACCA ATT or CTA qualification. Significant experience in a tax role within a practice environment. Confidence in a client-facing role. Strong technical knowledge of personal tax regulations and compliance. The ability to mentor and guide junior staff members. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
