Transport Team Leader

As part of our Chilled & Fresh division we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Team Leader

Salary: 30000

Shift: 4 on 4 off 06:00-18:00

Contributing to the success of the transport team you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS
• Assembling of 400 consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPIs
• Proactively look for continuous improvements
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate.

Qualifications :

What youll need ... 

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel Powerpoint Work and Outlook
• CPC Desirable but not required
• Experience of planning 100 tractor units across multiple depots
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
• Customer focus on delivery performance
• Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience of using a TMS system
• Experience in an FMCG environment
• Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulasv
