Traffic Engineer
Job Summary
- Facilitate the execution of traffic management and transport capital projects.
- Assist in project design consultations investigations and feasibility studies.
- Conduct site visits reviews and risk assessments.
- Draft technical reports briefing notes and recommendations.
- Address traffic-related issues and devise engineering solutions.
- Engage with residents councillors stakeholders consultants and partner organizations.
- Support contract and consultant management.
- Oversee project costs and budgets.
- Maintain comprehensive records databases plans and inventories.
- Handle customer inquiries complaints and correspondence.
- Attend meetings and offer technical advice as needed.
- Ensure adherence to relevant legislation regulations and industry standards.
- Experience in Traffic Engineering Highway Engineering Transport Planning or a related field.
- Proven track record in delivering traffic management or highway improvement projects.
- Familiarity with highway and traffic legislation regulations and codes of practice.
- Competence in conducting site assessments and developing practical engineering solutions.
- Proficiency in preparing technical reports and recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Capability to manage workloads independently and adhere to deadlines.
- Proficient IT and data management skills.
- Experience with Local Authorities.
- Background in transport capital programs.
- Understanding of traffic regulation orders road safety and traffic management measures.
- Relevant engineering or transport qualification.
- 250.00 per day (Umbrella)

Required Skills:
Essential Requirements Experience within Traffic Engineering Highway Engineering Transport Planning or a related discipline. Experience delivering traffic management or highway improvement schemes.
