Talentmark are recruiting for a Flexible Technician to join a leading global food brand company on a contract basis for 6 months with high likelihood of being extended further. This role is site based in Reading (Berkshire) and Wokingham (Surrey).

Salary:
13.35 per hour 36 hours per week Monday-Friday 9 am to 5 pm with a 45 minute lunch break.

Technician Role:

• Flexibly work in different laboratories across both Wokingham and Reading sites as required.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Food Safety Procedures to produce food products at lab scale or manufacturing scale.
• Perform basic routine analysis product manufacturing and sample preparation under senior supervision.
• Use the LIMS (Q-Pulse) system to record information.
• Keep an organised and accurate record of lab work carried out.
• Calibrate lab equipment as required.

Your Background:

• Educated up to A-Level/HNC/BTEC level in a Science.
• Experience of working with food e.g. in a restaurant café or in food production.
• Flexible and adaptable in a workplace enjoying the challenge of adapting to different teams and environments.
• Passionate about Science.
• Passionate about Food.
• Meticulous and organised with strong attention to detail.
• Laboratory experience would be advantageous.
• Self-motivated enthusiastic and a fast learner.
