Technical Accounting Manager

IRIS Software Group is a leading global provider of mission-critical software and services supporting over 100000 customers across 135 countries. We are now looking for a technical accounting specialist to join our Group Finance team as Finance Manager

The Role

This is a key position within Group Finance where you will act as the technical accounting lead ensuring high quality compliant financial reporting across a complex multi-entity international business.

Youll work closely with senior stakeholders including the Group Financial Controller supporting M&A activity complex transactions and Group reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on IFRS accounting standards across the Group (including IFRS 3 9 15 16 and IAS 36/38)
• Prepare technical accounting papers and policy documentation to support key decisions and audit requirements
• Lead the accounting for acquisitions including purchase price allocation and integration
• Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and statutory accounts
• Monitor changes in IFRS and ensure timely implementation across the business
• Partner with finance teams globally to enhance technical capability and consistency
• Act as a key contact for external auditors on technical matters

About You

• ACA ACCA or CIMA qualified
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
• Experience within a large or complex group environment ideally with exposure to practice (Big 4 / Top 10 preferred)
• Experience in M&A accounting and group reporting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear guidance
• Proactive detail focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
