Job Summary

As a Team Leader youll play a key role in leading a small team to deliver outstanding person-centred support. This role will cover services in Stevenage & Hatfield.

About the role

Reporting into the Locality Manager youll provide day-to-day leadership guidance and coaching to Support Workers helping to ensure high standards of support and positive outcomes for the people we support.

Youll lead by example conduct supervisions and observations be responsible for ensuring key documentation and compliance requirements are completed to a high standard monitor training schedules review support records medication compliance and contribute to audits.

You will also work one weekend a month as part of your contracted hours. Being part of this team means being flexible to attend other services when required getting to know the wider group of people we support.

Through regular check-ins meaningful supervision leadership development and ongoing training opportunities well support you to build your skills and progress your career.

The shift patterns are (approx.. subject to change): 7.15am to 2.45pm 2.45 to 10pm 10pm to 7.15am. We need you to be as flexible as possible to cover these shifts within a small team all dedicated to one person.

What were looking for

  • At least 1 year of experience working with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism and experience of consistently leading a small team able to demonstrate this on your CV.
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends bank holidays and sleep-ins as part of a rota. Happy to work one extra weekend in four as part of your contract.
  • Experience completing or overseeing care records support documentation and compliance-related paperwork as well as a good understanding of CQC standards and person-centered support.
  • Confidence in providing guidance coaching and support to colleagues.
  • Strong communication organisational and leadership skills.
  • A positive proactive and supportive approach.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
