An outstanding primary school in Lewisham is seeking a caring enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its supportive team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across the school helping pupils engage with lessons and make progress. You will provide classroom assistance offer individual and small-group support and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
Helping pupils stay focused engaged and confident.
Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
Assisting with classroom organisation and maintaining a safe environment.
Encouraging positive behaviour and constructive relationships.
Contributing to pupils social and emotional development.
Previous experience working with children in a school or similar setting is desirable.
A patient positive and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
Good organisation and the ability to follow teacher guidance.
A genuine commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.
