Looking to take the next step in your career Join Halfords Autocentres as a Vehicle Technician where youll have the opportunity to gain your MOT Tester licence if not currently held. Well support you through this qualification with a salary increase available on successful completion
As a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic youll already be skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. Youll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements and diagnostics across vehicle electrical braking steering and suspension systems.
Once qualified youll also carry out MOT tests to DVSA standards and complete a wide range of vehicle maintenance and repair work. From advanced diagnostics and complex repairs through to routine servicing youll ensure every vehicle is maintained and repaired to the highest standard helping to keep our customers safely on the road.

Skills and experience
- Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years Vehicle Technician/Mechanic experience in a workshop environment
- Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
- Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and more complex repairs and replacements
- Willing to undertake MOT Tester training & qualification.
