Job Summary
Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas. As our Deployed Test Engineer (Systems Integration & Test Engineer Deployed Mission Systems) you will help ensure that our software systems integrated withaircrafthardware work correctly in real-world environments. You will support the deployment testing and validation of our systems onaircraft working closely with engineering teams and customers.This role does not involve permanent deployment to site when notdeployed you will be an active member of the Software QA team to help deepen your understanding of the Product.
This is a hands-on role that combines software testing system integration and on-site support.You willworkhands-on with real systems travel to interesting locations and develop both technical and communication skills.
- Assistin installing and updating software onaircraftand test systems
- Record andmaintain test evidence and deployment notes including test results defects and system configurations to support engineering teams and customer reporting
- Support system-level testing in real environments (includingaircraftreference systemsand simulators)
- Seek feedback and continuously improve technical andonsiteworking practices
- Help ensure the system meets functional and performance requirements
- Capture clear and actionable defect reports including steps to reproduce logs and environmental details
- Work with seniorEngineersto help resolve issues found during testing or deployment
- Work alongside customers and internal teams during deployments and testing
- Communicate clearly and professionally especially during on-site activities
- Basic understanding of software systems and integration concepts
- Background in and passion for Software QA & Testing
- Attention to detail and willingness to follow structured processes
- Good at thinking on your feet and adapting to new situations
- Degree or equivalent in Software Systems Electrical Aerospace Engineering or similar
- Systematic and proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills
- Willingness and enthusiasm to travel regularly (including international travel)
- Basic knowledge of networking (IP connectivity troubleshooting)
- Background within avionics
- Exposure to hardware-software integrationtesting
- Knowledge with project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira
