Sustainability & Environment Lead

What youll be doing

• Leading the delivery of the UK Sustainability Strategy in line with Group objectives.
• Driving environmental and sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
• Managing carbon reduction plans and emissions reporting across Scope 1 2 and 3.
• Owning sustainability KPIs reporting frameworks and performance dashboards.
• Maintaining and continually improving our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
• Leading environmental audits assurance activities and corrective action programmes.
• Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation industry standards and best practice.
• Managing sustainability accreditations ESG assessments and client sustainability submissions.
• Developing impactful social value and community investment programmes.
• Supporting commercial teams with sustainability content for bids tenders and client reporting.
• Identifying environmental risks opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinating sustainability governance leadership reporting and Board updates.
• Monitoring emerging legislation and sustainability trends to keep the business ahead of the curve.

Qualifications :

What youll bring

Were looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and is passionate about delivering real-world impact.

You will ideally have:

• Experience within sustainability ESG environmental management or a related field.
• Excellent knowledge of carbon reporting and emissions management.
• Experience managing ISO 14001 or similar environmental management systems.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and sustainability reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills with strong attention to detail.
• The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• A proactive mindset and passion for driving positive change.
• Robust project management and organisational skills.
• Full right to work in the UK. 
• Ability to provide 5 year checkable work history in line with BS7858 Screening standards.
