Family Finding Support Worker

Help create brighter futures by finding the right home for every child.

There is one available post as a Fostering Family Finding Support Worker. This role plays a vital part in securing safe nurturing and appropriate fostering homes for children who require fostering families. The postholder will undertake skilled matching activity drawing on a child-centred and strength-based approach to identify fostering families that can best meet each childs needs promote stability and support positive outcomes.

This is a unique role where no two days are the same. Youll work in partnership with social workers and foster carers to identify the best possible fostering homes for children. From supporting long-term family finding and permanence planning to helping children move from residential care into family-based settings youll be central to life-changing decisions that shape childrens futures.

Support and Stability Support Worker

Be there when fostering families need support the most.

As a Support and Stability Support Worker youll work directly with fostering families across Lancashire helping children remain in stable nurturing homes and preventing instability and unplanned endings.

Unlike office-based roles much of your time will be spent out in communities and family homes building trusted relationships with foster carers children and young people. Youll provide practical and emotional support help carers develop their understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches and work alongside professionals to identify solutions when families face challenges.

This is a hands-on role where youll see first-hand the difference your support can make. Whether youre helping a foster carer through a difficult period supporting a child to build confidence or contributing to plans that strengthen family stability youll be making a meaningful impact every day.
