We are looking for nurturing and friendly Support Workers to join the Team at Sense Scotland. This is more than a job - its your chance to make a difference within your community by the work you do supporting individuals to lead the most fulfilling life possible.
You will work directly with adults who have complex communication and sensory needs supporting them to enjoy their chosen activities like going out to lunch meeting friends going to the gym/swimming or simply taking a walk. You will work closely with individuals to help develop life skills such as communication social interaction skills and their their homes you will support with personal care assist with meal preparation medication administration and household tasks like cleaning and laundry.
Once you start your journey with Sense Scotland you will receive the best possible support whist you navigate your way through your first weeks and beyond. On offer is one-to-one on the job training in-house face to face training with our experts and the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge through our e-learning packages.
Current vacancies extend to full time 37 hours and part time (minimum of 21 hours up to 35 hours per week) and relief hours. Youll work a variety of shifts on a rota system including:
- Early and late shifts
- Sleepovers and night shifts occasional
- Weekends and public holidays
This flexibility ensures we can meet the needs of the people we support while giving you a role where no two days are the same.
