Up to 35000 per annum depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

This is a specialist role with experience in oncology/haemato-oncology.

As a Pharmacy Technician at our Brighton Hospital youll be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and youll have proven post-qualification experience in oncology and systemic anticancer therapy (SACT). Its also important that you have excellent communication and people skills as youll be working closely with our patients and a variety of clinical staff.

As a Pharmacy Technician you will:

Work in partnership with the specialist oncology pharmacist and pharmacy manager to deliver a clinical pharmacy service to oncology and haemato-oncology patients.

Undertake medicines reconciliation prepare discharge medications provide medicines information and counselling to patients.

Liaise with colleagues and suppliers to plan and order SACT in preparation for patients appointments.

Train and support colleagues in SACT ordering dispensing and administration.

Assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems

Assist with supplying stock to other departments

Participate in pharmacy stock takes and audits
